Biovic, engineering and execution company sustainable energy projects, closed 2023 with a notable increase in its international activity. Foreign sales of the Grupo Gimeno company already represent close to 10% of turnover.
The company ended the year starting with new projects in Portugal y France.
En France, Biovic leads a development together with a leading company in the biofuels sector with a capacity of 30 GWh, fed by agricultural waste. This project, in addition to having the most advanced technology in the sector, underlines the company's commitment to providing the industry with solutions that address energy production from the circular economy perspective, so that waste from one sector becomes resources for others.
En Portugal The company collaborates with one of the largest oil producers in Spain, in the development of a bioLNG plant with a 50 GWh capacity. This plant, which will process more than 100.000 tons of alperujos, is also an example of innovation and commitment to renewable energy in the agricultural industry.
In 2024, the company hopes to continue strengthening its global presence due to the dynamism that the sector is experiencing in both the national and international markets, opening new initiatives in the United States and Canada.

"These new international projects are another step in our strategy to expand our presence towards markets where biomethane and biogas have ample growth capacity," he adds.
With a current team of more than 25 specialists, since its birth in 2009, Biovic has developed, built and launched more than 50 biomethane, biogas and biomass projects, both nationally and internationally in markets as diverse as Holland, Israel, Germany, the United Kingdom and Latin America. In this period, he has also developed 11 upgrading plants and has participated in more than 300 consulting projects related to these matters.
