The Spanish Biomass Association, organizer of the 17th International Bioenergy Congress 2024, together with its technological partner, the Spanish Biogas Association, invite researchers, academics and professionals from the sector to present your presentations for the next edition of the congress, which will be held on October 1 and 2 in Valladolid, in parallel to the 4th Renewable Gas Exhibition.
This year, under the motto «Renewable gases, the great allies in the defossilization of the Spanish economy«We want to explore and delve into the fundamental role that renewable gases play in the energy transition and environmental sustainability.
The selection of papers will seek to encourage discussion about the most recent and promising developments in the field of renewable gases and their role in the transition towards an economy less dependent on fossil fuels.
The congress will discuss national regulatory aspects and aid plans and the state of international regulations that affect or will affect the sector. The potential of renewable gases in the Spanish market will be illustrated, especially the use of biomethane for energy generation, vehicular use, production of other biofuels and/or for self-consumption in the agricultural, livestock and industrial sectors.
The congress wants to deepen the knowledge of raw materials, their availability and logistics; and also in emerging technologies with high growth expectations and in those already implemented in the market and their results. A topic of great interest will be what use to give to the byproducts derived from biogas generation.
Application submission period
Proposals for presentations must be sent between March 15 and May 15, 2024. Contributions that present success stories, applied research and analysis of recent policies in the context of the aforementioned topics will be especially valued.
