In total, 52 papers have been selected to be presented orally at the next International Bioenergy Congress, which will be held on October 5 and 6 at the Valladolid Fair in parallel to the II Renewable Gas Show organized by AVEBIOM together with AEBIG. , the Spanish Biogas Association. The remaining candidatures, out of a total of 102 applications, may be presented as a poster.
The program will include key information for all professionals committed to the challenge of producing biogas and energetically valorizing byproducts and organic waste from livestock, agriculture, the agri-food industry, landfills, WWTP stations, etc. They will be two very intense days in which the most relevant aspects of technology, financing, regulation and aid will be highlighted and current trends in the biogas, biomethane and other renewable gases market will be shown. The 15th International Bioenergy Congress is sponsored by ENGIE, NATURGY, NEDGIA, PREZERO and VEOLIA, and the collaboration of the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge, the Government of Castilla y León, the City Council of Valladolid, the European Association of Biogas and Bioenergy Europe.
By registering for the congress, the attendee will get direct and free access to the II Renewable Gas Show, where you can personally contact all the actors and stakeholders of the sector in Spain. In addition, you will obtain all the documentation presented, access to the digital platform that includes presentations and videos, certificates of attendance, meals every day of the congress and access to the parallel program. October 5
The first technical conference will be given by Narcís de Carreras, CEO of NEDGIA, giving way to the presentation of different success stories such as the Valdemingómez Technology Park (PREZERO-Madrid City Council), the TorreSantamaría farm (NOGUERA RENOVABLES) or the Granollers treatment plant (BÉSOS TORDERA CONSORCIO). And also some financing methods from SUMA CAPITAL AND EUROFUNDING.
The first round tables will also be held on the morning of October 5 and will discuss the challenges and opportunities of the renewable gas market led by David Fernández (AEBIG) with some of the top professionals of the moment: Héctor Palacios (ENGIE), Jacobo Canseco (AXPO), Luis Iglesias (ENAGAS RENOVABLE), Marta Peiró (NATURGY) and Carlos Aguirre (PAVILION ENERGY)
The morning session will end with four presentations from Denmark, the country invited to the II Renewable Gas Exhibition.
The afternoon session will be opened by Camille Degardin, director of innovation and unique projects at VEOLIA in Spain, to address digestate management. Five technical conferences held by GEA, Farming Agrícola, ICODA, Tietjen and CEDER-CIEMAT will give way to a thematic table moderated by Jorge Tinas (AEBIG) who will try to present alternatives about digestate, and whether we consider it waste or product. Roberto Estefano (Ecofert Bio), Javier Martín (SPD Biogás), Roger Carles (Raacpur) and Fernando Suárez (Biomethane Montes de Toledo) will participate.
October 6
The morning technical conferences will be given by a great selection of professionals: Javier Lizasoain (Biogest), Mario Alejandro Rosato (Sustainable Technologies), Norbert Nägele (Kepler, engineering and ecomanagement), Rubén Llorente (Vogelsang), Jordi Peipoch (Bimeo solutions), Joao Pinto-Machado (SYSAdvance), Angel Borruey (Making Best Colors Chemicals Industries SA) and Jose Antonio García (CarboTech Gas System).
During the morning there will also be a thematic table to show the new technologies for biogas plants in Spain. Moderated by Xavier Flotats (AEBIG) it will feature Nicolas Bruyas (Prodeval), Bernat Chuliá (Genia Bioenergy), Luis Puchades (Biovic), Baptiste Usquin (WAGA Energy Spain) and Julián Soler (Econward)
The afternoon session is opened by José Luis Rodrigo, delegate of the Eastern Zone of Biomethane Projects in NATURGY, showing the Energy Transition at the Vila-Sana Renewable Gas Plant. The session will continue with technical conferences by Arantxa Bomboí (Suez), Pilar Icaran (Aqualia) and José Antonio La Cal (Bioliza). The last technical conference will be given by José Luis Cabo, Deputy Director General of Hydrocarbons and New Fuels at the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge.
And to end the congress, the round table that closes the day will focus on discovering the vision of the sector of biogas and biomethane generators and operators. It will feature the presidents of the most relevant Spanish associations: Francisco Repullo (AEBIG), Fernando Morcillo (AEAS), Joan Batalla (SEDIGAS), Gonzalo Cañete (fGER), Ramón Armengol (COGECA) and Francisco Javier Díaz (AVEBIOM)
