The Spanish Biomass Association , organizer of the 18th International Bioenergy Congress 2025, together with its technology partner, the Spanish Biogas Association , invites researchers, academics and professionals to submit their applications for presentations at the next edition of the congress.
The application period is open until May 16, 2025
This year, under the theme "Biomethane and other renewable gases: The path to a sustainable and competitive economy", the congress will focus on the transformative potential of these energy vectors.
The program will highlight how biomethane and other renewable gases are already helping to boost the competitiveness of businesses and industries, strengthen energy security in an unstable global context, and decarbonize production processes and sectors that are difficult to electrify.
In addition, specific application cases in different territories will be presented, and how to accelerate their integration into the national energy mix will be discussed.
How to apply for the 18th International Bioenergy Congress?
Proposals for presentations are submitted through the digital form available on the congress website , until May 16, 2025.
Proposals that offer outstanding experiences and applied knowledge will be especially valued . Presentations showcasing success stories in the production, injection, or use of biomethane , as well as innovative projects and technological solutions that are paving new paths in the sector, will be given priority.
Special importance will also be given to applied research —whether technical, economic or social—and to analyses of public policies, regulatory frameworks and territorial deployment strategies that facilitate the effective implementation of renewable gases.

The organization will especially value proposals that present:
- Case Studies in production, injection or use of biomethane.
- Innovational projects and emerging technologies.
- Applied research in the technical, economic or social fields.
- Public policy analysis, regulation and territorial deployment strategies.
