The Renewable Gas Show 2024 reaches record numbers with 145 confirmed exhibitors

The fourth edition of the Renewable Gas Fair, which will be held at Feria de Valladolid on October 1 and 2, 2024, has just closed its second contracting period with a resounding success. With a total of 145 direct exhibitors already confirmed, 21% more than the previous year, and the space practically full, the event is shaping up to be the most important event in the sector in Spain to date.

“Spain has the potential to be the third country in Europe in biomethane generation. The success of participation in the Renewable Gas Show demonstrates that the sector is fully committed to the energy transition and sustainability and that we achieve the position we deserve. As organizers, our goal is to continue promoting the implementation of projects and facilitate companies' access to new business opportunities."

points out Javier Diaz, president of the Spanish Biomass Association (AVEBIOM).

In addition to the 21% increase in the number of confirmed exhibitors compared to 2023, several companies still remain on the waiting list pending the organization being able to create spaces to accommodate them. A situation that clearly reflects the increasing relevance of renewable gases in the transition and energy autonomy of our country.

Spain already has 17 operational biomethane plants using all types of materials (sewage sludge, municipal solid waste, slurry, agro-industrial waste and agricultural by-products) and dozens more in the pipeline. The correct development of these plants and those that will arrive in the coming years, within the concepts of circular economy, is essential to successfully decarbonize various industrial sectors and to efficiently manage waste and valorize byproducts such as the resulting digestate. of obtaining biogas.

Luis Puchades, president of the Spanish Biogas Association (AEBIG), technical partner of the event, highlights

“the decisive role of renewable gases in the decarbonization of our economy and in rural development and the circular economy” and adds his willingness to “work with the administration to create a regulatory framework that facilitates its sustainable growth.”

The 2024 Renewable Gas Show will once again break the record for exhibitors and also promises to attract a larger audience than the previous year. Not in vain, it has become the most important meeting point on the peninsula for innovation and collaboration in the renewable gases sector: companies and organizations will have the opportunity to present their latest technological advances and establish strategic connections to stimulate the development of new energy solutions.

The Renewable Gas Show is an event organized by the Spanish Biomass Association (AVEBIOM), with the collaboration of the Spanish Biogas Association (AEBIG) as a technical partner.
