Spanish-German Biogas and Biomethane Meeting, within the framework of the “4th Renewable Gas Show”

Currently, in Spain there is a clear political commitment to these technologies to reduce dependence on fossil gas imports. The country has the third largest biomass potential in Europe, however, with only 260 biogas and 10 biomethane plants, the sector is still in its infancy. According to sector associations, another 25 biomethane plants are currently being built and 87 are in the project planning phase. According to a PwC report, in total there are about 200 biogas projects to be developed throughout the country.

Given this favorable scenario, the German Chamber of Commerce organizes a “Spanish-German Biogas and Biomethane Meeting with networking” coinciding with the “4th Renewable Gas Show” that aims to present new technologies and solutions from leading German companies, as well as success stories that demonstrate the viability of biogas and biomethane plants.

This Spanish-German Biogas and Biomethane meeting, with networking and B2B meetings between German and Spanish companies in the biogas and biomethane sector, will be an excellent opportunity to strengthen cooperation between companies from both countries and promote joint projects. Companies and organizations will have the opportunity to establish strategic connections and explore best practices in the transition towards a more sustainable energy model.

Participating German companies:

  • PlanET Biogastechnik GmbH, https://planet-biogas.com/es/
  • 2G Energy International GmbH, www.2-g.com, https://2-gsolutions.com/
  • Arcanum Energy Systems GmbH & Co.KG, https://www.arcanum-energy.de/en/home/
  • Turn2X, https://turn2x.com/
  • agriKomp GmbH, https://www.agrikomp.com/

The objective is to bring together German and Spanish companies on October 1 in the afternoon at the Valladolid Fair in an environment of exchange that favors future cooperation of a commercial or technological nature between entrepreneurs from both countries.

The meeting is held on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Economy and Climate Protection (BMWK) within the framework of the “German Energy Solutions” initiative and with the support of the sector associations AVEBIOM (Spanish Biomass Association) and AEBIG (Association Spanish Biogas Company).
