Agroamb Prodalt plans to invest 22,5 million euros and create around 75 jobs, both direct and indirect, thus contributing to wealth creation and the consolidation of quality employment in the region.
In this regard, the initiative aims to use organic waste produced in the Galician agricultural and agri-food sectors as raw materials to obtain liquid biomethane through a cryogenic separation process of the biogas produced. Part of the biogas generated would be used to cover the plant's own consumption, and part of the liquid biomethane would supply the company's transport fleet and those of its suppliers.
It is, therefore, a circular economy project that would reduce the extraction of raw materials, taking advantage of organic waste to obtain biofuels that, in turn, reduce the use of fossil fuels.
