The BTS-MPdry technology cleans biogas above 95% with minimal energy and reagent consumption has been presented for the innovation award at the first #RenewableGas Show

The BTS-MPdry technology that Energy & Waste Technologies (EWTECH) has presented for the #RenewableGas innovation award uses the following fundamental stages: cooling, condensation, washing, without the need for reagent, and adsorption on active carbon as a refining stage. Which guarantees a level of reduction of pollutants that meets the requirements requested for the generation of electricity, or its use in the production of Biomethane, H2 or methanol. The stages operate simultaneously, guaranteeing a cleaning efficiency of over 95% with minimal energy and reagent consumption.

The advantages of this technology and its innovation compared to others on the market are:

  • Automatic operation.
  • Compact unit.
  • Minimum investment in civil works.
  • Low electrical and reagent consumption.
  • Integrated particle and droplet separation system.
  • Stable operation since its start-up.
  • Simultaneous reduction of humidity, particles, H2S and/or siloxanes.
  • Improves the useful life of the machines involved in energy production.
  • Improves gas emissions into the atmosphere.
  • Reduction in operating costs.
  • Adaptable to any space and operating conditions. Modular system
  • Built-in energy recovery system

Until now, 5 (five) BTS-MPdry plants have been marketed and are in operation in different facilities in Spain, Mexico, Costa Rica and a new one is currently in the construction phase for the Lyon Gate WWTP in Vancouver-Canada, managed by Acciona Agua.
