The company PROTECH Continental, based in Granollers (Barcelona), was once again present at the Renewable Gas Exhibition 2025where it presented its comprehensive solutions for the design, equipping and maintenance of plants biogas and biomethane.
With over 25 years of experience, PROTECH is a leading national supplier of equipment. pumping, agitation, separation and storage applied to the treatment of waste and the energy recovery of the organic fraction.
In this edition, the company highlighted its progressive cavity helical pumps under the brand Kronoa, developed entirely in Barcelona.
“We are practically the only manufacturer based in Barcelona. We manufacture, design and engineer in Spain, with a national brand that we are very proud of.” explained Domingo Serrano Keinarth, CEO of PROTECH in an interview conducted during the event.
These pumps, designed for fluids with high solids content such as slurries or digestate, are used in the main phases of the anaerobic digestion process and are adapted to the needs of each plant.
High-efficiency agitation and digestion
Alongside the pumps, PROTECH displayed a representation of the agitation systems for digesters developed in collaboration with SUMA Rührtechnik, a German manufacturer with whom they have maintained a cooperation for more than 15 years.
SUMA agitators are integrated into the digesters supplied by PROTECH to ensure substrate homogeneity, prevent crust formation, and optimize biogas production.
The company also designs and supplies anaerobic tanks and digesters in vitrified steel, stainless steel or epoxy coated, with modular solutions adapted to projects of any scale.
PROTECH actively participates in the development of infrastructure for the valorization of organic waste and the generation of renewable energy in Spain. Its domestic manufacturing capacity and its own technical network help to shorten installation and maintenance times.
