+Biogás Project: Collaboration and innovation for the Sustainable Future

With the support of ACCIÓ within the framework of the IRC projects, the project +Biogas moves firmly towards innovation in biogas production.

This project is the result of a close collaboration between Saves Water and Energy, Liquats Vegetals, CBC, and has the scientific and technical collaboration of EURECAT and ICODA.

In the initial phase of the project, the effectiveness of several commercial enzymes in the enzymatic hydrolysis of agri-food waste such as oat okara, soybean hulls, and wheat and barley straw has been evaluated. The results have been promising, showing that the use of enzymes is crucial to improve the decomposition of organic matter.

After this initial phase, pilot tests in digesters have been completed to evaluate the impact of the use of enzymes on biogas and biomethane production performance. Ahidra is already working on the final report of these pilots, which will be published soon.

This project is an example of how collaboration between companies and research centers can generate sustainable and innovative solutions for the future of renewable energy.

On October 1 and 2 we will have professionals from Saves Water and Energy and ICODA at the 4th Renewable Gas Hall #feriavalladolid
