Redexis Renovables has announced the acquisition of two biogas plants in Lorca and Los Alcázares, in the Region of Murcia, which with the necessary adaptations will produce 80 gigawatt hours (GWh) of biomethane annually, managing 211.000 tons of agri-food, agro-industrial and livestock waste at the same time. anus.
The total investment that the company will make for the acquisition, start-up and operation of these plants will be 22 million euros, and the generation of employment could reach 70 people directly and indirectly. After the acquisition, Redexis Renovables already has the EnergyGreen Gas Almazán, BioRed Lorca and BioRed Los Alcázares plants. In 2023, Redexis Renovables began the administrative processing of another eight plants located in Aragón, Castilla y León and Extremadura.
In addition, the company expects to have more than 30 biomethane plants in 2030, which will mobilize an investment of more than 400 million euros.
