Works4Impact, a joint venture between SUEZ (60%) and PRODEVAL (40%), focuses on the use of biogas produced from organic waste and sewage sludge. It brings together a major French multinational company operating in the field of water and waste management and an innovative technology company focused on the production of technologies for the treatment of biogas into biomethane.
The creation of a joint company is the next step in this cooperation. In particular, it will support the development of new solutions for public organizations and the development of green mobility. Biomethane, which is formed by the biodegradation of organic matter, is a substitute for fossil natural gas. Liquefied or compressed it can also be used as an ecological fuel for many types of vehicles.
Biomethane production has great potential in the Czech Republic thanks to 574 biogas plants in operation and emerging projects. By 2030, Czech biomethane can replace more than 10% of annual natural gas consumption.
The close cooperation between PRODEVAL and SUEZ in the Czech Republic should benefit customers who can offer a comprehensive and innovative solution for all categories of biodegradable waste and the subsequent use of biomethane according to their needs.
PRODEVAL is a French company that has been operating in the gas industry for more than 30 years. Since 2014, it has been working intensively on the conversion of biogas to biomethane by the membrane separation method. PRODEVAL is a manufacturer of technologically advanced units for the production of biomethane, injection stations for the gas system, BioCNG and AgriNGV stations for transportation and liquefaction equipment for the use of CO 2. They currently have more than 200 biomethane production plants in Europe.
SUEZ supports the development of PRODEVAL since 2016 as an investor and strategic partner. The creation of a joint company is the next step in this cooperation. In particular, it will support the development of new solutions for public organizations and the development of green mobility.
