When there are still 6 months left until the fourth edition of the Renewable Gas Show begins, the event organized by AVEBIOM with the technical support of AEBIG exceeds the exhibition area contracted the previous year and promises to be the most important so far held.
El First Renewable Gas Fair will be held again at the Valladolid Fair on October 1 and 2, 2024 in parallel to the 17th International Bioenergy Congress, dedicated one more year to highlighting the latest technological and market developments for this sector.
The main companies that are promoting the growth of the sector in Spain, and that are also present in other countries around the world, have already secured their space at the largest event dedicated to biogas, biomethane and other renewable gases.
Remember that until May's 31 Companies interested in participating can get between 10 and 20% discounts. The exhibitor catalog and the contracting and sponsorship conditions can be consulted at www.salondelgasrenovable.com
Prodeval as Global Sponsor and BioDynamics, Bioenergy Ibérica, Bondalti Water, Catalana de Biogás, Cycle Ø, Engie, Nortegas Renovables, Prezero as Premium Sponsors They are the first sponsors of the Renewable Gas Show.
The great allies in the defossilization of the economy
Since interest in renewable gases definitively aroused, no one doubts that they are the great allies in the defossilization of the Spanish and European economy and, therefore, fundamental to achieving our energy independence. In Spain we have 17 biomethane plants already operational, but there are 97 more in the pipeline.
“The show and the congress play a crucial role in connecting the key players in the sector and facilitating the start of new projects, essential to achieve greater energy autonomy."
Highlights Javier Diaz, president of AVEBIOM.
One of the challenges to achieve this is the optimization of biomethane access to the gas network. According to a recent report by the European Biogas Association, EBA, 75% of biomethane plants in the EU are already connected to transport or distribution networks.
Ensuring the injection of the new volumes of biomethane that will soon be available thanks to the facilities under development will require favorable legislative frameworks, applying injection tariffs, standardizing gas quality and establishing cost-sharing agreements between network operators and producers of biomethane for grid connection.
“Biomethane will be crucial for the decarbonization of industry, transport and the primary sector in Spain, which has one of the greatest European potentials and a gas network that will allow renewable natural gas to be brought to consumers without the need for new infrastructure. Biomethane is a pure circular economy: renewable energy, waste recovery and biofertilizers all in one”
Ensures Luis Puchades, recent new president of AEBIG.
Another central challenge for the viability of the plants is the management of the digestate, a by-product with enormous potential for recovery, which must be considered within the projects' business plan.
